Glamzy How To: Blending
Blending is the heart of making makeup look great. Blending is also the foundation of other "How To" articles on this site. Blending will help you Create Depth and it will help you achieve Better Lips. So the best way to get started blending is to practice. For both Android and iOS devices the principles of blending are the same although the application is very different. Each operating system has a unique drawing platform. Here you will find the best techniques for both.
Android
On Android devices the drawing platform is more like painting and applying makeup. The colors will smudge and mix together as they are applied next to and on top of each other. The best way to blend is to set a soft edge brush and turn the opacity down so that you can apply the color in layers.

iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
The trick to blending on the iOS devices is to "Tap" the canvas. Even if you set the brush edge to the softest setting and the opacity to the lowest, the color will still be applied very heavy if you drag your finger around the canvas. So tapping is the best way to apply just a little color at a time. If you are tapping a lot and not seeing any color show on the canvas, try turning up the opacity. The brush edge should be set depending on how soft you want your blend to be.

Creative Blending
